Pilgrim Imports, Inc. Identity System
Brief: Pilgrim Imports designs hand-crafted jewelery that is imported from Thailand. The challenge with this project was to create a timeless mark for Pilgrim that relates to its hand-crafted product and that would be very simple to place on product packaging.
The company's tagline is "working together for good", so I came up with the idea of the logo being a building block that would "work together" with the tagline, or other copy that might go with it. The logo works in two ways: for posters and promotional materials, there is the "Step Logo" which is expansive and looks great big. For product packaging, I essentially created a stamp, called the "Block Logo," which fits easily on all of the rectangular packaging.
Pilgrim Imports, Inc. Stationery Suite
Specs: Letterhead, Mailing Label, Business Card (front + back), Envelope.
The second part of this project and the first application of Pilgrim's new logo was to create a stationery suite for outgoing messages & packages. With exception of the mailing label, the stationery suite is printed on a paper with natural fiber, which fits great with Pilgrim's hand-crafted product line.
Pilgrim Imports All Season 2008 Catalog
Specs: 16 Pages, 5.5 x 8.5 inches.
Brief: Pilgrim Imports wanted to cut costs on printing & mailing, so this project minimized their bi-annual letter size, 48-page catalog to a 16-page mini-booklet showcasing their best-selling projects and urging costumers to go online for the whole catalogue.
Because each page is made up of a single photograph, this project required a lot of planning to make sure all of the product lines were covered. I got to work hands-on with the photographer to art-direct the shoot and make sure all of the colors & set styling were just perfect.

Brief: To tie in with their catalog (see above) Pilgrim Imports, Inc. needed it's website redesigned to match the current stylings and also make it simpler for customers to find the products they want. A new menu system was introduced with tabs for simple point and click browsing.
